E-mail Print PDF

lynn-martz1I, Lynn Martz, am the Center Manager here at Perryville Business Centers. Yesterday, I attended the monthly Business Roundtable sponsored by Northern Illinois SCORE organization.  This month’s topic was “Defining Your Target Market”.  If you’re like me you’ve probably heard statement like “my service or products can be used by all businesses; so every business is my potential customer!”  We discussed whether that is a myth, or is there truth in that statement?  We also discussed some tools to help define our target markets.

This organization meets monthly the 3rd Thursday of each month at the Winnebago County Building on 404 Elm Street, 5th floor from 7:30-9:00 am.  If you have any questions, please contact me at 815-877-3707.  I’d love to see you there.

Lynn Martz, Center Manager at Perryville Business Centers, stays plugged in by attending community events.

On June 10th, she attended a LinkedIn Luncheon at the Stockholm Inn in Rockford. The speaker at the event was Reggie Roberson of NFIB (National Federation of Independent Businesses).  He spoke about how the NFIB is fighting to help small businesses.

Just yesterday, June 16th, Lynn attended a small business roundtable event hosted by the Northern IL SCORE organization.  This month, the topic of discussion was what role customer service plays in the each participants business.   Because Perryville Business Center's industry is a highly focused on customer service both in attracting new clients and retaining our existing clients, Lynn found value in attending this event.
